A warm and sunny day! Time to move on. We drove north toward Bigelow Preserve, a sparkling scenic drive! Turned west in Rangeley direction, thinking to stay in the area. Rangeley is a pretty town. We asked for info on campgrounds and passed by several places. We’ve stayed in some beautiful places, and today we found one of the best: Aziscoos Valley CG, on the swift Magalloway River, not far from the NH line. Nestled in a verdant valley between two mountains ablaze with brilliant autumn color, we parked our RV on the river near the covered bridge. Everywhere we look is a feast for the eyes! Rode our bikes this afternoon to Aziscoos (also spelled Aziscohos) hydro dam. On the way back, we glimpsed a couple of moose as they disappeared into the trees. After eating, took a brief walk in pitch dark and saw billions of stars. Sound sleep in this quiet and tranquil campground … once we dispatched deer mouse #2.
