When we first arrived on July 17th, the River was still very high and opaque from spring run-off and too wild to fish. The two pics below were taken from Carter's Bridge, just down the road from Rock Canyon RV Park.

We've hiked and biked and fished in the last two weeks and had a ball. We've had a small heater aimed at our feet some mornings and the A/C pumping cool air in the afternoons. Bought delicious foodstuffs at Livingston's excellent Farmers Mkt on Wednesday afternoons, AND last Wed we had tickets for the Pro Bull Riders Tour! Cowboys have to ride the bull's bare back for eight seconds for the ride to count - eight very looooong seconds. It was a pretty exciting show and from where we sat in the front row, it looked like the bulls won! Quite a first adventure for us. Too bad I forgot to bring the camera, but I probably wouldn't have been quick enough (some of the cowboys only lasted one or two or three seconds) to capture the action.
We've experienced a few brief showers, inc one last nite. This morning dawned cloudy and remained that way most of the day, which kept our temperature down in the 70's - a most welcome change from the 90's we've endured the past week. We have had a good time these two weeks.
