Merry Christmas to my feathered friends ... fresh, new bird seed!
Mmmmmm, seafood gumbo's on the stove: yeah-boy! on a chill, rainy nite ...
... which turns into a slushy snow early Friday morning
More drought-busting rain is forecast for today! Hip-hip-hooray!
Rain! Snow! Christmas! Tis the season....
ReplyDeleteLast time I checked the calendar, it was still 2014. ;) You can have that snow.
ReplyDeleteHaha, of course you'd notice that goof -- Judy, the eagle-eyed bird lady. Guess I'll hit the ol' edit button! Thanx. That snow is long gone, replaced by a steady (yawn) rain.
DeleteHi there, Nickie. Your December posts remind me of mine. Lots of food, decorating, enjoying home. It is nice to be home I think, although sometimes we travel at Christmas. We have had steady rain the last few days as well, and the hyped up storm never even blew a tiny breeze here in Rocky Point. Still no rumors of Christmas snow around here. Let's hope the rain keeps up and fills the reservoirs, although it might take a few weeks rather than a few days.
ReplyDeleteWe are not drying out at all here, Sue. However, Nevada County did fare well in that big hyped-up storm, with lots of rain. Windy just one day. No rain today (Saturday) or Sunday, followed by three more days of rain. And so on .... Filling up those reservoirs!
DeleteUh, what exactly is the object in the last picture?
ReplyDeleteI think it's a "decorated" fire hose hydrant, set in the midst of slushy-snow-covered St Johns Wort. We saw it Thursday morning while walking on a nearby street. Cute, huh?
